Festival de Blues de San Francisco



El Festival de Blues de San Francisco (San Francisco Blues Festival) fue un festival de música blues celebrado en la ciudad californiana de San Francisco entre los años 1973 y 2009.

El San Francisco Blues Festival se celebró por primera vez en 1973, siendo el festival de blues más longevo de cuantos se celebran en Estados Unidos.[1]​ Tom Mazzolini, el promotor del evento, fundó el festival para dar a conocer al público la historia y evolución de la música blues. Muchos de los artistas que actuaron durante las primeras ediciones fueron pioneros y creadores del sonido West Coast blues.[2]

En 2009, Mazzolini anunció que tras 37 ediciones consecutivas, el festival se veía forzado a cesar su actividad por motivos económicos.[3]
