David Mansell:
Telefunken and Decca went into association in 1950 but they did not produce LPs under the name "Teldec" which did not appear on records until the partnership had been dissolved sometime in the 1980s. Telefunken produced Decca records for the German market and called them Decca! , and continued to use "Telefunken" for their own LPs. Decca produced Telefunken records for the British market and called them Telefunken! There is no evidence that the so-called "Teldec" curve was ever used for German discs and particularly not those manufactured by Deutsche Grammophon, which had changed to RIAA in the mid-Fifties.
