Adelgunde Marie Auguste Therese Prinzessin von Bayern was born on 17 October 1870 at Villa Amsee, Lindau, AustriaG. She was the daughter of Ludwig III König von Bayern and Maria Theresia Henriette Dorothea Erzherzogin von Österreich-Este. She married Wilhelm Fürst von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, son of Leopold Stephan Prinz von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen and Antonia Maria de Bragança e Saxe-Coburgo-Gotha, Infanta de Portugal, on 20 January 1915.3 She died on 4 January 1958 at age 87 at Sigmaringen, Baden-Württemburg, Germany.
She was a member of the House of Wittelsbach. She gained the title of Prinzessin von Bayern.
